Does UPF 50+ protection diminish with repeated washing?

No. The protection is inherent to the polyester fibers and tight fabric construction—not a surface coating. Washing does not reduce UPF performance. The UPF 50+ rating remains stable even after repeated washes.

What’s the difference between a cross collar and a standard collar? How effective is it?

The overlapping cross collar provides extended neck coverage—front, sides, and back—while the hood shields cheeks and ears. Compared to crew or V-necks, it offers significantly broader UV protection, ideal for fishing, hiking, and prolonged sun exposure.
